StumbleSwipe — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This describes what StumbleSwipe collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep this list to what the app actually does — if a future update changes what we collect, we'll update this page and the date above.

What we collect

  • An anonymous session, right away. The first time you open the app we create an anonymous account so you can browse and vote without signing up. This is just a random ID — no personal info is attached to it unless you create a real account.
  • Email and password, if you create an account. Needed to comment, follow people, and submit sites. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and we never see it in plain text.
  • Profile info you choose to add: display name, a short bio, and an avatar photo if you upload one.
  • Your activity in the app: votes, tags you apply to sites, sites you pin or submit, comments you post, and which sites you've already been shown (so we don't repeat them).
  • Basic usage signals — things like which sites you swipe past quickly versus linger on, and which categories you pick — so the feed can learn what you're into. This is used inside the app only; we don't sell it or share it with advertisers.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't run third-party ad trackers in the app.
  • We don't collect your precise location or contacts.

Third-party sites

StumbleSwipe's whole purpose is showing you other people's websites. Once you're looking at one, that site's own privacy policy applies to whatever it does — we don't control that, and browsing history isn't shared with them by us beyond your device loading the page directly, the same as visiting it in any browser.

Comments

Comments are tied to the site they're posted under, not deleted when a thread moves on. If you delete your account, your comments stay (so the conversation isn't broken for everyone else) but are no longer linked to you — they show up without your name attached.

Account deletion

You can delete your account any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your votes, tags, pins, follows, profile, and browsing history. Sites you submitted stay in the feed (removing them would take down content other people are enjoying) but are no longer linked to your account. This can't be undone.

Requesting a copy of your data

You can ask for a copy of your data by emailing support@stumbleswipe.xyz.

Children

StumbleSwipe isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the app to create an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with our backend infrastructure provider. We use industry-standard measures to keep it secure, but no system is 100% unbreakable.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
